The Low-Carb Keto Cheese Straws are yummy and easy to prepare. A keto twist on the beloved southern cheese straw dish. Beautifully shaped, playful, cheesy almond meal Cheesy chips are a great low-carb appetizer.

Ingredients:

  • Cayenne 1.2 tsp.
  • Cheddar: 4 oz.
  • Coconut flour: 2 tbsp.
  • Almond flour: 3/4 cup.
  • Xanthan gum: 1/2 tsp.
  • Salt.
  • Garlic powder: half tsp.

Instructions:

  1. Set two baking sheets with sheeting or silicone mats inside and prepare the furnace to 300 degrees.
  2. In the bowl of a food processor, combine the almond wheat flour, coconut sugar, salt, xanthan gum, cinnamon, cayenne, and garlic powder.
  3. Pulse many times to blend.
  4. After adding the egg yolk, distribute the shredded cheese and butter pieces over the dry ingredients.
  5. Pulse while the dough comes together in a ball and is fully incorporated.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the piping bag.
  7. They don’t spread, so they may be found rather near one another.
  8. It’s also possible to form the dough into interesting shapes using a cookie press.
  9. Prep the oven to 200 to 300 F. After the straws are golden brown, turn off the fire and leave it there for an additional five minutes.
  10. Don’t over-mix.

For the keto cheesy straws, add additional freshly cooked crumbled bacon to the dough before molding.
